Finding the perfect décor for your wedding day and the parties and celebrations leading up to it can be an exciting part of the planning process. But you may come to a point where you may not find exactly what you had imaged, designs may seem repetitive, or when you simply want to add a custom or personalized touch to the décor.
With wedding season is in full swing, we have seen many of the trendy ways brides and decorators are personalizing wedding, reception, bridal shower and other varieties of décor. Whether your style is vintage chic, rustic or trendy these simple and surprisingly affordable ways are a sure hit.
Wedding signage is a great way to personalize any occasion. Many couples share a favorite quote, Bible verse, song lyric or short poem that is important to them. Whatever your style you can easily find a way to incorporate this to your décor.
Wood signage is becoming increasingly popular in part because it is easy to use in most rustic settings, and the hand painted design (where available) adds a custom yet quality feel to the décor. These ideas can easily be used to add style to otherwise boring traditions.
A popular choice among brides is also a framed painted glass- framed to preference, decorated according style. The painted signage can be displayed as a welcome sign leading into the Chapel or reception, or simply be placed as additional décor in almost any location.
Another way to easily add a personal touch to your celebration is by ordering, or personally making, tags containing the couple’s name, date and/or quote. These tags can be made for party favors, seats, or just to add a custom feel to the décor. A great feature about an idea like this one is that it can be customized in any way.
Since many of these details are often handcrafted, drawn and painted by local artists it a great way to support local artists and businesses (fellow Texans!), while enjoying the high quality found in hand crafted designs.
About the art pictured-
The Bride posing with the framed painted glass for a spring wedding, chose a simple, vintage frame decorated with freshly picked flowers. It read a quote, their names and their wedding date.
The two blue boards were later used as décor in rustic western wedding. The complete project had the boards attached and hanging on a wall, with clothespin and a line to hand pictures.
The Cards and Gifts sign is a popular one, easy to customize and useful.
The flower shaped tags were made for a tea party themed bridal shower. Awesome way to add a personal touch.
