As its name implies, The Ma Maison (French for “my house”) is the type of venue that offers the homey and tranquil setting you desire for your big day. Along with its elegant European-style décor, The Ma Maison is beautifully dressed with natural scenery, oak trees, wildflowers and a lakefront backdrop, the type only found in the great state of Texas.
Within the 23 acres of the privately owned, oak-cover land, Ma Maison offers three stunning outdoors areas for your ceremony to be held: The Grove, The Green Cathedral and The Lake View. This venue also offers a suite for the Bride and den for the Groom to prepare themselves comfortably.
The largest and most popular of the three locations is The Grove, which is located under a grove of lively oak trees. This area is perfect for small, intimate ceremonies but can also be arranged to seat up to 600 guests. It features a stone altar which is wired for the accommodation of lighting and equipment.
The Green Cathedral is easily recognized by the antique French gazebo which certainly adds to the already picturesque scenery surrounding it. Even though it is better suited for intimate ceremonies, larger parties can still use this wonderful area for pictures and portraits.
The Lake View, also referred to as Lac Moise, is another great area for many reasons. If you happen to choose one of the previous areas for your ceremony, this location can still be used as a place for guests to mingle and take pictures during cocktail hour or during anytime throughout your day. Some guests even set up booths or lawn games for entertainment in this area.
In the case of inclement weather, or simply because you really like it, there is also The Trellis. This area is adjacent to The Grove and can be used a transitional area or site for your cocktail hour. A stone fire rings adorns this section making it a great outdoor spot to hangout throughout the evening, even on those rare chilly Texas nights. From The Trellis you have direct access to the Bride’s Garden as well as the Bell Tower. Many guests often use this area for a rehearsal dinner or outdoor reception area.
Once you’ve exchanged vows, taken pictures with friends and family, and enjoyed the scenery, the celebration will proceed into The Great Hall. This charming hall is decorated with glass chandeliers, antique French accents and exposed beams. The large space offers plenty of room for the reception dinner, including a catering kitchen, buffet area, multiple bars and of course a dance floor. For larger parties there are also additional sections to accommodate additional guests. There is even a balcony that can be used for dining, hanging out or just to cool off for a few minutes after all the dancing. This is certainly the type of hall that will make you and your guests wish the night wouldn’t end.
Being located in close proximity to Austin, you’ll also get all the benefits of being in the big city. Those traveling to the area will have access to major airports and all sightseeing that this region of our state has to offer. No doubt, Ma Maison is the type of venue that will add that special touch to your special day. From the natural scenery surrounding to the elegant and homey décor, there are few venues that can compete with all that it has to offer.
